Beginners' Yoga Workshop Series

Join Steve for a three-part introduction to the core principles and practice of yoga:

SUN SALUTATIONS:
THE ART OF MOVEMENT AND BREATH

Sunday, November 3 @ 11:00am-12:30pm

In the first session, we will explore how the Sun Salutations, which are so often reduced to a rushed warm-up, should form the foundation of our personal practice. We will take some time to explore proper form, movement and modifications for this core element of our practice.

STANDING STRONG:
BALANCE + EASE & STRENGTH IN STANDING POSES

Sunday, November 11 @ 11:00am-12:30pm

The second session will challenge your strength, endurance and balance by exploring standing poses. We will review correct alignment and techniques for handling these weight bearing exercises with ease.

SITTING PRETTY:
FLEXIBILITY VS. EGO DURING SEATED POSTURES

Sunday, November 17 @ 11:00am-12:30pm

You’re on the ground, now what? It’s not all about touching your toes. Siting poses are a great way to open hips and improve flexibility. Today we will examine how to do this with proper posture and develop the awareness necessary to make your practice more fulfilling.
