Series: The Stories That Find Us A guided somatic meditation & musical journey
The Stories That Find Us is an ongoing series of guided somatic meditation experiences rooted in myth, music, & reflection. Each gathering centers around a different story, offering space to slow down, listen inwardly, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been forgotten, set aside, or waiting to return.
Workshop 1: La Loba: A Guided Somatic Meditation & Musical Journey ~for remembering what was never lost~
There are parts of us that don’t disappear…they simply become buried, scattered, or forgotten beneath the noise of life.
This experience is rooted in the ancient story of La Loba—the “Wolf Woman”—a myth shared in Women Who Run with the Wolves. She is said to wander the desert collecting bones, especially the bones of wolves. When she has gathered enough, she lays them out beneath the moonlight and begins to sing… and slowly, life returns.
Together, we’ll step into this story not as something to analyze, but as something to experience.
We’ll begin with a gentle somatic grounding practice to settle the nervous system and create space within the body. From there, Alicia will guide participants through the story of La Loba, followed by an extended meditation supported by live music performed by Chris.
There will be space to listen inwardly, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may be ready to return. This experience is not about performing, fixing, or doing anything “right.”
It is an invitation to slow down, soften, and notice what begins to emerge when space is finally created.
You are welcome exactly as you are.

Breathe & Bloom
We will begin with gentle grounding and intention setting before moving into a guided somatic breathwork journey. Using activated breathing within a trauma-informed container, this experience is designed to facilitate deep nervous system release and the activation and movement of stored emotions and energy in the body.
You’ll be guided through intentional breath patterns that work with the nervous system, allowing what has been suppressed to safely surface, move, and integrate. While the experience is structured, it is also intuitive—honoring your body’s pace and needs throughout the journey.
Supported by shamanic music and tools, somatic guidance, gentle touch, and a carefully held group space, you’ll be invited to stay connected to your body while moving through activation and emotional release. Following the breathwork you will be supported to return to regulation and integration. We will end with an offering for tea and light snacks for nourishment.
Rooted in the energy of Breath & Bloom, this is an invitation to soften, open, and tend to your inner landscape—creating space for your natural unfolding.
Please Note: For your safety, participants are required to arrive sober. This experience is not recommended for those who are currently pregnant, have had recent surgery within the past four weeks, or have a history of glaucoma or detached retina. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out prior to attending.
Important notes
We prioritize safety and there are a few contraindications to be considered for participation in the style of breathwork. Each participant will need to sign a waiver indicating any health conditions that may be a barrier to participating.

Ashtanga Full Primary
The word Ashtanga is comprised of two Sanskrit words, “Ashta” and “Anga.” “Ashta” refers to the number eight, while “Anga” means limb or body part. Therefore, Ashtanga is the union of the eight limbs of yoga, into one complete, holistic system. These eight-limbs of yoga represent the various branches of the philosophy of the yoga sutras that form the foundation in the Ashtanga Yoga School. The Ashtanga philosophy is to integrate all of the eight limbs of yoga, which include: Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-discipline), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (sense withdrawal), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness with the self).

Yoga Nidra is a gentle and specific guided method of meditation that moves your awareness into a deep state of rest while remaining alert.
