The Stories That Find Us is an ongoing series of guided somatic meditation experiences rooted in myth, music, & reflection. Each gathering centers around a different story, offering space to slow down, listen inwardly, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been forgotten, set aside, or waiting to return.
Workshop 1: La Loba: A Guided Somatic Meditation & Musical Journey ~for remembering what was never lost~
There are parts of us that don’t disappear…they simply become buried, scattered, or forgotten beneath the noise of life.
This experience is rooted in the ancient story of La Loba—the “Wolf Woman”—a myth shared in Women Who Run with the Wolves. She is said to wander the desert collecting bones, especially the bones of wolves. When she has gathered enough, she lays them out beneath the moonlight and begins to sing… and slowly, life returns.
Together, we’ll step into this story not as something to analyze, but as something to experience.
We’ll begin with a gentle somatic grounding practice to settle the nervous system and create space within the body. From there, Alicia will guide participants through the story of La Loba, followed by an extended meditation supported by live music performed by Chris.
There will be space to listen inwardly, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may be ready to return. This experience is not about performing, fixing, or doing anything “right.”
It is an invitation to slow down, soften, and notice what begins to emerge when space is finally created.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
