Sometimes you need to replenish your spiritual reserves or elevate and balance your being. Join Annie for an evening of self-care. Annie will lead you through a relaxing guided Yoga Nidra Mediation during which you will enjoy being bathed in sounds.
Discover the healing frequencies of crystal singing bowls, ocean drums, and chimes used to activate your parasympathetic nervous system. Allow yourself to enter a dreamlike state where your body, mind, and soul return to a natural state of healing and alignment.
At the end of this experience, you can expect to enjoy a sense of deep rest and relaxation.
Wear loose-fitting comfortable clothing, bring a mat or something to lie on, a blanket to cover yourself, a bolster or pillow to prop your head/knees, and a water bottle.

EVENING CLASSES CANCELED
NO 6:00PM KATONAH YOGA & 7:15PM ASHTANGA
The most common thing we hear at the studio is that new students feel uncomfortable not knowing the basics and going into class feeling "blind."
We get that! This workshop will go over in great detail the common postures that show up in (almost) every class. The foundational vinyasa poses, chatarunga and forward folds. We will leave some time for relaxation, savasana, and questions.
As an added bonus students who attend this workshop will receive 2 weeks of unlimited classes at the studio so they can put their newfound skills into work.
**The two weeks unlimited begins the day following the workshop and runs consecutively. You cannot pause or delay the 2 weeks. If you have taken this workshop before and received the 2 weeks unlimited you are not eligible to take it again.
*Please book confidently. There are no refunds for workshops, trainings, or special events.
This month we’ll be hosting very special sonic meditative journey - a therapeutic sound bath.
We have two sound facilitators - Katie + Annie - who offer different crafts and sounds.
By being bathed in sound, experience deep relaxation and stress relieving effects. Be immersed in the soothing sounds of therapeutic instruments such as rain stick, Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls and other instrument’s rich harmonic frequencies.
Switch off, feeling the stresses and strains of the day melting away as peace and harmony come singing back to you. Setting yourself up for a great weekend.
Have yourself in comfortable clothes, maybe a jumper, a small scarf like a bandana to wrap around our weighted eye masks, a blanket and cosy socks.

NO 6:00PM KATONAH YOGA & 7:15PM ASHTANGA
Everything in the Universe is in constant motion, planets, galaxies, stars... There is not a single static creation. There is an order, a choreography, in the cycles of Nature, in the movement of the planets, in the waves of the sea.
Everything and everyone is relating to one another all the time and since ever.It couldn't be any different with humans!
Since the beginning, men have gathered in a circle to express their joy, their sorrow, their fears, to heal illnesses, to celebrate the rain or the harvest, to say goodbye and to receive new members.
The circle is the most primitive and intuitive shape known to humanity. The power of the circle is made in the recognition of the other, in the grouping of individualits with a common feeling, which is potentiated and is capable of transcending the circle itself to the point of touching its members deeply.
The dances proposed in a circular dance represent a resumption of ancient forms of expression of different people and cultures. With a current look, this contact provides a connection with different cultures and the discovery of thoughts and feelings in common, bringing people together through reflection on their individual contribution to the world. We all seek to be understood and welcomed!
The first step is the courage to relate spontaneously and lightly

For over 20 years, I have taught both adults and children, running a dance school in Brazil recognized by the Ministry of Education for training professionals in the field. My academic background blends business and dance—I hold a degree in Business Administration, a Technical Degree in Dance, a Postgraduate Degree in Dance and
Body Consciousness, and I have coordinated the postgraduate program in Dance and College Management at Integrated Rio Branco in São Paulo. My journey has also led me to specialize in Indian Classical Dance (Kathak) and Circle Dances, enriching my understanding of movement and culture.

In this workshop, we'll align with our highest intentions, connect with our inner landscape, & activate the voice through somatic movement, breath, and vocal toning.
a practice utilizing the power of our own voice as a sound healing practice. The resonance from our own voice releases tension, soothes the nervous system, & releases endorphins to elevate mood.
The workshop begins with light movement and breathwork from the practices of Kundalini Yoga to activate the physical and subtle bodies. We'll move onto the meditative practice of vocal toning guided by the shruti box,
where sustained sounds and vowels balance the main energy points of the body + open up the voice to empower our sense of expression, creativity, and self in this world.
Additionally, the act of vocalizing together in this communal setting releases oxytocin, promoting a sense of bonding, unity, & togetherness with others.

Join Alana for a 4 week, healing and relaxing yoga Nidra and meditation journey.
Yoga Nidra is a gentle and specific guided method of meditation that moves your awareness into a deep state of rest while remaining alert. Yoga Nidra happens in an alert state of consciousness just before dreaming, and encourages a non-sleep deep rest, where the mind and body are fully relaxed. Yoga Nidra integrates meditation with affirmation, body-sensing, subtle breath-work, as well as working with feelings, emotions and guided imagery. When practiced regularly, people experience calmer thoughts, lower blood pressure, increased immunity, more restful sleep, improved memory, reduced chronic and acute pain, and a lift in overall well being.
This class is quiet and introspective, with plenty of time to breathe and develop connection to inner knowing that is always present.
Format:
Each 60 minute session will begin with guided breath work to harness the energy of the mind, along with a few gentle movements to release any muscular tension, preparing you to be more spacious and receptive to the subtle body. You will then be guided through a meditation leading into yoga Nidra. Low lighting, ambient music, gentle healing sounds, and aromatherapy are some of the tools that will be used to amplify your experience. Leave feeling calm, refreshed, and revitalized.
Week 1: Inner Resource
Week 2: Intention & Heartfelt Desire
Week 3: Feelings and Emotions
Week 4: Body Sensing
Bring a yoga mat, and dress in loose comfortable clothes. Props will be provided for added comfort.
