Bodhi Yoga is proud to announce a new self-empowering workshop series led by Amanda Lemming. The series will feature a combination of yoga practice, discussion & critical reflection, structured around the basic tenets outlined in the Vedanta Treatise by Swami Parthasarathy.
In this third session, we will continue to explore the Koshas—a five-layered approach to understanding and self-cultivation—and how developing a greater sense of self-awareness can alleviate and even transform stress into a renewed sense of purpose. This session will anchor the reason for our previous session’s meditation work into the innermost layers, that way they may take root and bloom in all aspects of our being, as opposed to just the surface. Content from Alan Watts’ The Book—the Taboo Against Knowing Yourself and Red Pine’s The Diamond Sutra will be covered in diuscussions. We’ll explore the inner most divine aspects of who you are through the question of religion, or how and from where it inspires. Discussions will also cover what the common roots and morals and meanings of every participant’s deepest value system in a respectful and safe space.
While each session’s discussion will build off the previous one, all classes in the series are designed to be modular or that you can take only a select class or two out of the series without feeling out of context or a diminished value. The last session is scheduled for November 2nd from 12pm-2pm and of a similar format. More information will be posted at a later date.
$30 per class, or click here for $100 for all four classes in the series. 10% members’ discount applicable if purchased in studio.
