Yin Yoga practice is defined by passive, long holds in poses that apply moderate stress to connective tissues, tendons, fascia and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility; it is also a seated practice meaning students spend the duration of the class practicing those poses that affect overall posture from the hips and spine to the neck and shoulders. Yin Yoga poses are designed to help improve the subtle flow of energy which is believed to improve organ health, immunity and emotional well-being. The pace of this practice enables students to explore internally in a meditative state, and will leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed — a great way to end the day! Use of props are encouraged.
