Join Alana and Ruth Licensed Acupuncturist for a 90 minute immersion, blending Traditional Chinese Medicine and the practice of Gentle Yoga. Inspired by our deep connection to the universe, this workshop is designed to nourish the body from the inside out. The focus of this workshop is the season of winter and the Water element. We will combine yoga postures with acupuncture needles to nourish our connective tissue and build Qi, through the integration of the Bladder and Kidney meridians. Be prepared to feel rejuvenated, relaxed, and deeply nourished after this workshop. Due to the unique nature of this workshop, limited space is available.
WATER ELEMENT: KIDNEY & BLADDER
The focus of this workshop is the Water Element and the Kidney and Bladder Meridians. The wisdom of water is its incredible strength, it carves rock and shapes the entire earth, but without force. The water element allows for adaptation to all of life’s changes, challenges and stresses. Winter is the home of the water element, and is also the season most dominant in Yin energy. Just as a bear hibernates in winter, the water element of this season asks us to engage in re nourishing activities. A Gentle Yoga practice to support and balance the water element typically tends to support vitality. Our aim in our water practice is to support the uninterrupted flow of blood and Qi, like the flow of water.
