This will be a friendly, heart-opening and rewarding one hour pop-up class with Katie. An intro series of postures that will help you bind, bend, and balance better using straps.
Why Bind? Binding requires flexibility and commitment, and acts like a “lock” to help you find stability in a pose. In certain postures, it can also help us massage our muscles and internal organs, helping us become our very own healers.
Why balance? Balancing postures in yoga teach us how to focus, build strength, find our center of gravity and equilibrium. Trust, slow down, and find a sense of calm and stillness despite what is going on around us.
Why Bend? Backbends and heart opening poses are good to elongate the spine, improve posture and flexibility, stretch the front of the body, open up tight shoulders, reduce stress and anxiety, and provide emotional release.
