Bodhi Yoga is proud to announce a new self-empowering workshop series led by Amanda Lemming. The series will feature a combination of yoga practice, discussion & critical reflection, structured around the basic tenets outlined in the Vedanta Treatise by Swami Parthasarathy.
In this first session, we will explore the duality of the ‘true,’ inner self & the self-identity we project onto the world, the consequences of their conception, as well as their relationship relative to one another. The context and basis for these discussions will revolve around the precepts of the Vedanta school of thought, a system referred to as the Koshas—a five-layered approach to understanding and cultivating the nature of humanity in the individual.
The first hour of class will consist of these discussions, followed by a fiery, guided Vinyasa class—a physically intensive practice designed to break down the mental & physical barriers separating reality from the philosophical ideal.
While each session’s discussion will build off the previous one, all classes in the series are designed to be modular or that you can take only a select class or two out of the series without feeling out of context or a diminishment in value. The other class dates are currently scheduled for September 7th, October 5th and November 2nd, all from 12pm-2pm and of a similar format. More information will be posted at a later date.
$30 per class, or $100 for all four classes in the series. 10% members’ discount applicable if purchased in studio.
