Little Yogis is a three-week series designed for children ages 3-10 years old. Classes will be taught on Sundays at 11am on April 18th, April 25th, & May 2nd. $10/class, or $30 for the the complete series and $20 for siblings ($10 discount).
Yoga is an ancient healing practice known to calm the body, mind, and emotions. In this playful yoga class designed especially for pre-kidnergarten to elementary school aged children, children will learn yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration, and give children the tools to manage stress in their daily lives. Games, stories, and music will be incorporated into this fun, non-competitive class. Each class ends with a period of relaxation. Led by Nicole.
Children should bring their own yoga mat to class.

Breathing exercise
Warm Up song - freeze dance with yoga cards
Practice Sun Salutations
Play Yogi Says Game - everyone gets a turn to be the leader! Only do a pose when "yogi says")
Listening Bell - each child gets a turn to ring the bell. Everyone else closes their eyes and listens until they can't hear the bell anymore. When the bell stops ringing, raise your hand. Teaches focus and concentration.
Relaxation time (3-5 minutes) - guided visualization, lavender relaxation spray, and head/neck massage
Closing - take a moment to notice how you feel at the end of yoga class, and remember something special about yourself!
